It’s coming soon, TGR (The Great Resignation) round 2! 🎉🙌✨🔥💃
Will this see TA leaders back in the driving seat? 🚗
We all know that Gen Z & Millennials have a bit of a reputation for being the "difficult" employees (this is not a position of TAInnovationHive 🚫🤔👉😂 Nope not even thinking about it), But the rumour mill suggests that these Gens want more flexibility & less burnout.
They’ve been “quiet quitting” – which is the trend where employees do the bare minimum (but still somehow manage to keep their jobs).
This phrase popped up in 2022, but reality is that most people had been quietly (or not so quietly) seeking a better work-life balance long before then.
And if you thought the "Great Resignation" was just a pandemic thing, then think again. The buzz is that a "Great Resignation 2.0" could be on the horizon, especially now that some employers, like Amazon, are pushing staff to return to the office full-time.
Newsflash: not everyone is keen on trading their sweatpants for office attire five days a week.📣🔥
In fact, a study from LinkedIn & Microsoft revealed that 46% of employees are ready to jump ship in the coming year.
Yep, that’s even more than the 40% who felt the same in 2021!
Yay to TA, we will be hired back into those leadership roles quicker than Terminator 7! 🎉🙌✨🔥💃
Now, here's the pretty thing: these younger pesky Gens (again not the position of TAInnovationHive who adore these Gens) are starting to be dubbed “consumers of the workplace.” Basically, they’re shopping for jobs the way they would a new pair of shoes – they want something that fits their lifestyle, values, and needs. So, what does this mean for talent acquisition? Well, it means we’re about to get a serious glow-up! ️️✨💅🔥🌟💖
Think of us TA Leaders as the white peacocks of the workplace - COMING SOON NEAR YOU – strutting our stuff, throwing our toys out the pram again because we are back in the value chain, we will be demanding retention bonuses and the best perks, and the most flexible work setups. 🦚🤍🤍🤍 (White Peacocks are rarer than hen's teeth).
The TA cavalry is about to be called in once again, to mop up the mess left behind of the lack of investment in talent, and it’s our time to shine! 🏇⚔️🐎
So those businesses that have treated TA at the bottom of the pile - you might need to rethink your TA strategy right now (no pressure) and get some of those juicy TA leadership roles approved! 🍉🍑🍓💦😂
For those CHRO's and CPO's, TA is not not just matching resumes to job descriptions anymore – we’re selling dreams again, meeting expectations, and making sure that every Gen candidate feels like they’re getting their perfect fit. So buckle up, team – it’s going to be a wild ride! 🎢😱🎢
Let's be honest—Talent Acquisition (TA) hasn't always been the star of the show in many organisations of late. But it's time to BRING US BACK.
But what if we dared to bring TA back to the heart of the company? Sure, it might sound like a bit of a stretch, but who said miracles can’t happen? In fact, let’s manifest this one together and start positioning TA as the strategic powerhouse it truly is meant to be!.
🧘♀️🙏✨🌟
